Cric          Kids 

What is CricKids? 

CricKids is an Isle of Man Cricket Association CricStart initiative aimed at providing a great first experience of cricket for boys and girls aged 3-6 years old. Focus is on developing children's movement and athletic skills and very basic cricket skills. The emphasis is on fun and being active. Mums and dad's can have valuable time with their kids as family members are encouraged to take part too! The page will include drills, skills and challenges for this age group as well as highlight CricKids sessions taking place on the Isle of Man. 


Winter CricKids 2025 

The IOMCA will be running a second block of winter CricKids sessions at King William's College this February and March. The popular IOMCA CricStart programme aims to provide a fun first experience of cricket for boys and girls aged 3 - 7 years-old.

CricKids is a great first introduction to cricket and focuses on developing children’s athletic, social and very basic cricket skills. The emphasis is on having fun and being active. Mums and dads can have valuable time with their kids as family members are encouraged to take part too! 

CricKids sessions: 
  • Time: 2-3 
  • Dates: Sunday February 4th & 11th, March 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th (excluding 18th & 25th February) 
  • Cost: £20 for 6 sessions
  • Venue: King William's College 

​For an additional £40 a CricStart backpack can be purchased including a CricStart back-pack, bat, ball, CricStart cap, CricStart water bottle and CricStart t shirt.

CricKids Winter 2021 Programme  

After a successful series of CricKids sessions in November and December 2020 with 25 CricKids taking part. The IOMCA will be running two further courses as part of their winter 2021 programme at King William's College.

CricKids Summer Programme 

CricKids mornings have been included on the IOMCA summer holiday programme for the first time. Fun mornings at various clubs across the Isle of Man are planned for male and female 3-6 year old cricketers! Please email [email protected] for a booking form and payment details.

This drill can be done using improvised batting Ts, a drop feed from the neck or with a bobble feed from a partner. ​
